Welcome to the schedule for Katsucon 19 in 2013!
Katsucon is an annual 3-day fan convention held in the D.C. metro area for multicultural enthusiasts and entertainment. Katsucon is produced by Katsucon Entertainment, Inc. (KEI), a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization dedicated to bringing information about Japanese animation, society, and traditional and popular culture to fans everywhere.
Join Yaya Han for her signature panel on the Sociology of Cosplay. We will talk about the many odd social aspects of cosplay - From what cosplay means to you, what type of cosplayers there are, to hot topics such as cyber-trolling of cosplayers as individuals and the community as a whole, misconceptions of sexy cosplays, how social media has affected cosplay, and where cosplay is heading in the future. Audience participation is encouraged!
